Pre-school fun planned for local park

The first days of school are on the way, and an event is on offer near Portage that will give even pre-school age kids a chance to learn and have fun doing so.

The Pre-School in the Park program, being offered in Deep River County Park in Hobart, will run throughout the months of September and October. It is being offered free of charge and is intended for boys and girls who are five years of age and under.

Each week, the session will have a different theme. There will be chance for the pupils to create a craft they can take home with them, and they will also hear a story related to the topic of the day. The events will all begin at 10:00 am, and will run for one and a half hours, wrapping up at 11:30 am. Parents and caregivers are not required to register their child ahead of time.

An event like this can give pre-school age kids a chance to have fun while they begin to learn the fundamentals of formal education. Print shops in the area will be able to provide Signs, Banners, coloring sheets, activity Books and other materials that can make this sort of occasion even more enjoyable for those who take part.

This opportunity for children to, “fall into fun” will start on September 5th. More details have been made available on the Portage Life website.
