Portage plans schedule of summer fun

Starting in early June, Portage will be welcoming the return of its Fridays at Founders and Market Square events, and they will take place each Friday during the summer season.

The activities will both be on offer at Founders Square, and they can make it easy for the community to support local small businesses. Each week will offer its own line up of performances, and there will be lots of other fun to be had.

The plans for the Friday evenings include a splash pad for the kids along with an assortment of artisan vendors, and with farmers in the mix as well, it will be easy to support area agriculture. Bounce houses, live entertainment, a petting zoo, movies on select dates and a beer garden will all be in the mix, and each instalment will run for five hours.

Communities of all sizes have special events in the works for the summer months, and Stationery printers will be happy to help make sure as many as possible know what’s coming up. They will be able to provide a full line of promotional materials, and can work with most budgets.

Portage will be opening Friday at Founders and Market on the Square programs on June 5th. Anyone who wants additional details or is interested in learning more about applying to be a vendor can find out more on its online listing.
