Portage plans potluck family meal

Residents of a Portage senior community will be joining with their friends and family this holiday season for a meal that will be filled with lots of seasonal cheer.

The Rittenhouse Village at Portage has announced that its Resident and Family Holiday Dinner will be held in early December. It will be a potluck-style meal, and while they break bread, everyone will be able to celebrate and enjoy one another’s company.

Everyone who plans on coming out has been asked to bring a casserole or other potluck-style dish to share with the crowd. The whole family is welcome to attend, and the meal will last for one and half hours. No admission fee is being charged. The organizers hope it will provide a chance for the attendees to create lots of happy memories, and more information about the function is available through its Eventbrite listing.

When hosting a potluck meal such as this one, planners may choose to provide cards printed with recipes for the various dishes so that the diners can prepare them in their own home kitchen. Stationery printers will be happy to provide this service.

The Resident and Family Holiday Dinner will offer an evening of food, family, fun and friends on Sunday, December 3rd. The meal will begin at 4:30 pm, and continue on until 6:00 pm.
