Many people look forward to the holidays with great anticipation, and a Portage event will help to take some of the work out of preparing for the season.
American Legion Post 260 auxiliary unit has arranged a Cookie Walk evening that will offer a welcome break from the seasonal rush. Masks are required, and social distancing measures will be followed.
Each person who attends the function is asked to bring along three dozen home-baked cookies, as well as the recipe they used to prepare them. These will be exchanged between the attendees, and there will also be time for friends old and new to meet and mingle. Everyone who would like to take part is welcome, and the function will be set up in the back dining room of the Legion Post.
Food handling gloves will be supplied to help keep everyone safe. Flyers offer an inexpensive and effective way to spread the word about this sort of occasion, and a flyer printing company will have lots of options for its customers to choose from.
The Auxiliary Unit of American Legion Post 260 will be welcoming guests for this community event on December 21, beginning at 6:00 pm. The venue is located at 5675 Mulberry Avenue, and more information about the activity is available on its Facebook listing.
