A Portage area event designed to appeal to everyone’s inner child is set to go ahead this June, and all ages are welcome.
A day of whimsy has been planned for the community in support of the conservation work of the Izaak Walton Porter County Chapter. Admission to the festivities, which have been dubbed “Gnomes Day Out”, is $15 each, and this may be paid at the gate.
The plans for the occasion include at least 30 different experiences for the attendees to enjoy, and these include an assortment of hands-on fun. Prize giveaways and draws are in the works, and the Fairy Queene will be hosting a tea party. A vendor marketplace will give the adults a chance to do some shopping, and dancing and other entertainment is also on the agenda. The festivities will be capped off by a fairy house building contest.

The 2022 Fairy Festival will be welcoming both the young and the young at heart in Porter on June 11. Hawthorne Park is scheduled to be the location for the celebration.
