Portage is a community with a lot to offer, and this year’s Portage’s Best will showcase this to the world, all while helping to fund two local not for profit groups.
The Greater Portage Chamber of Commerce and the Portage Township YMCA will be the charities of choice for the occasion, and the festivities will be held at the Portage Lakefront Open Air Pavilion. Tickets to be a part of the fun are on sale now, and at least two acts will supply the entertainment for the occasion.
Guests at the function will find themselves treated to a selection of craft beers and seltzers, and other drinks will be on tap as well. Local eateries will also lend their talents to the celebration, and each will prepare an assortment of samples of their signature dishes for the crowd. A variety of raffles will take place, and it was noted that, should the event have to be postponed due to covid, the ticket holders will be notified.
Organizing this type of activity often provides a welcome boost for a community's small businesses. New uniforms for the participating staff as well as printed Menus, name tags, Business Cards and Signs for the function are all available from local Print companies.
This showcase of some of the best food and drinks Portage has to offer will delight area foodies and live music lovers alike on September 18th. Tickets start at $10.00 each.
