Flowers are a traditional idea for a Mother’s Day gift, and a Portage area workshop will see kids preparing one of these, but with a special twist.
The Banta Center in Valparaiso will be welcoming the younger set for an activity that will offer them lots of hands-on fun. The idea is for kids aged six and up to attend with an adult, giving dads some time to spend with their child while mom enjoys a few minutes to herself
Attendees will craft their own bouquets using the materials provided, and these everlasting flowers will each have a personal touch. The completed arrangement can be used as a centerpiece or other display, and while they work, the dad-and-kid duos will be treated to some light refreshments. Tickets for the morning are $20 each, and additional passes for siblings are available for $10.
Along with making a gift for someone special to them, and crafting class may also be a lot of fun. A flyer printing company will be able to aid in spreading the word about an activity throughout the local community without having to break the bank to do so.
The Mother’s Day Button Bouquet Craft session will be getting started at 10:30 am on Saturday, May 6. The venue can be found at 605 Beech Street in Valparaiso.
