A plant sale offers thrifty gardeners a chance to add some new plants to their collection, and one such event has been planned for the Portage area.
A wide selection of plants will be included in the annual L1124 Spring Plant and Flower Sale, and perennials, annuals, herbs and other selections will all be on offer. The organizers noted that it can be a great idea for a Mother’s Day outing.
Those who plan on including the function will be able to take advantage of the extended hours, and as well as the bedding plans and perennials, planters, hanging baskets, and vegetable transplants will be available for purchase. Cash, credit cards, and Checks will all be accepted Forms of payment, and the monies raised will benefit programming and other initiatives offered to the community by the Valparaiso Firefighters Local 1124.
One way the planners of a garden-themed event of this type can make it even more attractive to the public is to supply care and tip sheets to each person who makes a purchase. Stationery printers will be able to prepare items like these, along with signage to help locate plants.
The 2021 instalment of the L1124 Annual Spring Plants and Flower Sale will be popping up from May 6 to 8. It will take place at the William E. Urschel Pavilion in Valparaiso.
