Those seeking a position in the field of teaching may want to add their name to the list of attendees at a Portage area recruitment event.
Indiana University Northwest’s School of Education will be the host for a Teacher Recruitment Fair in just over a week’s time. The positions that need to be filled will begin in the 2024-2025 academic year. It will run for four hours at the Savannah Center, and at least 20 schools will be represented.
The activity will welcome charter, private, and public schools from throughout the northern portion of the state, and both teaching and administrative positions will be highlighted. Admission to the fair will be free of charge. Current and former teachers, graduating students, and alumni from any post-secondary institution are welcome, and while the organizers will greatly appreciate advance registration, this is not required to participate.
A hiring fair often attracts a lot of talent. Participating employers may choose to distribute Business Cards as well as packages of information to anyone who stops by their booth or display. Attendees looking for new careers may wish to carry résumés and Business Cards as well.
This opportunity for educators to connect with potential new positions will be held on Friday, April 5, from 1:00 pm until 4:00 pm. Questions may be directed to 219-980-6887.
