Portage ladies who would like to celebrate the value their girlfriends bring to their lives while learning a new skill are invited to reserve their spot in an event that will give them an opportunity to do just that. It will be hosted at Aftermath Cidery and Winery, and will give creativity a chance to bloom.
The women who participate in the class will be walked through the steps of creating a beautiful Valentine’s floral arrangement. While they craft, the attendees can enjoy some of the food and drinks that will be on offer for purchase, and private tables can be requested.
The facilitator for the activity will teach the group how they can use a variety of blooms, foliage and other naturally sourced decor items to create a bouquet for their home, and since the techniques can be used with almost any flowers and greenery, they will be able to prepare their own arrangements using whichever blossoms they wish.
Blessings and Blooms, which will be the host for the afternoon, noted that anyone who chooses to purchase tickets for the event as a gift card request to have a special gift card and mini arrangement included. February 9 has been chosen to be the date for this activity, which will give members of the public a chance to do some pre-Valentine’s Day crafting. Tickets are $45 each.
