Portage area festival to delight craft beer fans

This October, the Portage area will be showcasing the talents of at least 50 breweries, and while they raise their glasses, attendees will be supporting a local cause.

The Porter's Volunteer Fire and Parks and Recreation Department will be the recipient of the proceeds from the Porter’s Perfect Pint Festival, which will be held in Porter’s Hawthorne Park. Those who would like to join the fun can choose from either a general admission or VIP pass.

Everyone who is part of the celebration will receive beer samples as well as a commemorative pint glass. These Corporate Gifts will be distributed upon return of the tasting glasses. The VIP pass holders will also receive an event T-shirt with a special graphic design, as well as a sport bag to keep. There will also be designated driver passes, which entitle the bearer to root beer, water, and also a selection of “near beers” with a 0% alcohol content.

When they arrive at the gate, each attendee will need to present both their ticket and their ID. The activity will be held outdoors.

Porter’s Perfect Pint Festival will be making its return to the area on Saturday, October 7, and its gates will open at 1:00 pm. VIP pass holders will be invited to enter an hour ahead of the crowd.
