For the past eight years, a Portage area celebration has raised funds for the local community while offering an occasion planned with beer lovers in mind, and 2019 will be no different.
The Porters Perfect Pint festival is set to make it return for another fall, and tickets can now be purchased to join in the festivities.
The fun is set to kick off when the clock strikes noon, and the guests will be able to sample a large selection of locally brewed craft beers. Food will also be on offer, and the guests can relax and enjoy an afternoon with friends old and new.
To help maximize the funds raised through the festival, the organizers have included a silent auction in the plans for the activity. The local crafting community will also be included, and there will be a selection of vendor booths on site. Directed free parking will also be available.
The event is open only to those who are at least 21 years of age, and to help make sure everyone has a safe ride home, designated driver tickets can be purchased. These include free water and Figure Eight root beer, and for as long as supplies hold out, everyone will go home with a pint glass decorated with a special graphic design.
Porter’s Hawthorne Park will be the site for this celebration of beer, food ,and friends. It will be held on October 12.
