Community invited to join in Portage fall festivities

Autumn is harvest time in many communities, and Portage will be marking the occasion with a day of festive family fun.

The city’s Harvest Festival, which is billed as being an extension of the Market on the Square initiative, will include everything from vendor tables to pony rides, and with so much going on, there will be something for everyone to enjoy. It has been planned by the Portage Department of Parks and Recreation as well as other community organizations, and it will be held in Founders Square Park.

A wide variety of local businesses will be participating in the day, and the planners explained there may still be room for more to join in the fun. Those who sell food, handmade crafts, and other items are all welcome, and guests can enjoy the beer garden, live entertainment and other activities.

The vendors who participate in a community function like this will have an opportunity to meet the public, and if they have a stack of high-quality Business Cards at the ready, it will be easy for them to put their best foot forward.
