Paving company coming to Gurnee
Total Paving and Brick Services, a family-owned company that has been operating from the basement of the president's home, will be moving to Gurnee, according to an article in the Daily Herald.
The village board recently voted to annex a parcel on North Delany Road that will be the site of a new office building to be used by Total Paving and Brick.
Trinidad Espinoza owns the asphalt business, which started operating over 25 years ago. Maria Lozada, his daughter, is the president of the company, which has been operating out of her basement. She says that when they get busy, as many as seven people work in the space, adding she is “really looking forward to moving.”
With the annexation finished, the company is now asking for the village's approval of the new building, which will comprise 10,000 square feet. Most of the space will be taken up by the warehouse and shop, with approximately 2,000 square feet dedicated to office use. It is possible that other companies could lease some of the offices.
According to Lozada, moving will allow Total Paving to consolidate its operations. Currently, the business rents a number of different spaces to store vehicles and equipment – an expense that will be eliminated by having everything in the new building.
Efforts like this can benefit if the company works with a postcard printing company, creating cards for mailing to announce its move.
