The Hills Are Alive fall festival will return to Barrington this September, with fun-filled activities for residents and their families in the village.
The 9th annual festival will include an animal show (including horses and ponies), a Baggo (cornhole) tournament, a free barbecue, live music and entertainment, bubbles for the children, raffle prizes and giveaways. Attendees are asked to bring lawn chairs and blankets to the park, as seating will not be provided. A full schedule of events will be posted on the festival website as details are confirmed.
The festival is organized each year by a committee of volunteers for the Village of Barrington Hills. Local businesses, organizations, and area residents provide donations, including monetary support, food for the barbecue, Promotional Products for giveaways, and raffle prizes. To make a donation or to volunteer at the event, the festival organizers may be contacted by emailing: fest@vbhil.gov. Volunteer hours may be applied to a resident’s court ordered community service hours.
The 2021 Hills Are Alive fall festival will be held on Sunday, September 19 from 12:00 to 4:00 PM, at the Village Hall Grounds, located at 112 Algonquin Road. Attendees are asked to park at the Barrington United Methodist Church, located at 98 Algonquin Road, and take the free shuttle to the park grounds. The event, including the barbecue, is provided free of charge for all village residents.
