Next month’s event marks the 12th anniversary of the Barrington Art Festival. Over 110 artists from throughout the world will participate in the event, showcasing their work for the enjoyment of locals.
Artists from across a variety of media will be included in this event, including painting, jewelry, ceramics, sculpture, glass, and fiber. The artwork will be available for purchase during the event, as well as before the event from some of the artists, on the festival website.
Well-known featured artists will include Maria Belokurova, Erik Byers, Kevin Edgar, Mark Hersch, Candace Marsella, Sue Rosengard, and Barbara Spraul. Festivalgoers will have the opportunity to watch the artists at work, during live demonstrations and scheduled booth talks.
The festival will also include live music and food trucks. Printing services may be used to create activities for the children, in addition to the on-site kid-friendly graffiti wall. Food vendors and musicians are needed for this event, and may apply on the festival website.
The 2021 Barrington Art Festival will be held on Saturday, May 29 and Sunday, May 30, from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. Artists’ booths will be setup in downtown Barrington, along Station and Cook streets. All downtown streets will be closed to traffic over the Memorial Day weekend. This is a free event, with free parking, although those wishing to attend should reserve a timeslot in advance.
