Hobby horse owners and riders will want to begin curating their outfits, as a showcase and competition is set to start in Barrington.
The 2025 Hobby Horse Spring Showcase, hosted by Soul Harbor Ranch, will take place next month. The event will bring together new and experienced riders to share their passion for equestrian activities. It will feature competitive and fun options to suit participants' skill levels and comfort levels, ensuring a memorable experience.
Each participant will receive an opportunity to jump, race, and take part in the classes offered throughout the showcase. Children and adults are welcome to enroll in the showcase, though no ribbons will be awarded. The Fun Jump portion of the showcase will begin immediately after registration opens at the venue. Poster printing is a creative way to advertise such events while providing a take-home souvenir for participants to remember the experience.
The four showcase events will include the Fun Jump, barrel racing, high jump, and show jumping. Participants are welcome to wear derby or riding attire for the showcase. Closed-toe shoes are required to compete in the showcase, and a parent or guardian must accompany guests 16 and under.
The showcase will be held at Soul Harbor Ranch in Barrington on Sunday, March 23rd, starting at 11:00 AM. Reservations are open online for $15 per participant.
