Barrington’s Memorial Park will soon be welcoming some special seasonal guests, and the entire family may want to get in on the fun.
The park will be the location for the community’s 20th annual Scarecrow Festival. Admission is free, and there will be many scarecrows on display to help add to the function’s festive and autumnal atmosphere.
The roster of activities that has been prepared for the occasion includes everything from pumpkin decorating to scarecrow building, and there will be games for the whole family on offer. Face painters and balloon artists will be at work, and pony rides will be an option for the little ones. Bob the DJ will keep everyone entertained. The function is being presented courtesy of Heinen’s, Barrington Youth and Family Services, and also Bob the DJ himself.
A function like this can bring a community together in a spirit of fun, and a local Print shop will be able to make sure it all goes as planned. This day of free family fun will be held in Memorial Park on Saturday, October 16. It is scheduled to begin at 11:00 am and continue on until 2:00 pm.
