Bowling event fights breast cancer

The 14th annual Bowl for the Cure for breast cancer fundraiser will be held in Mundelein next month.

All bowlers from the surrounding area, including Barrington, Rolling Meadows and Arlington Heights are encouraged to participate and funds to fight a disease that affects one in eight American women during their lives, and a small number of men too.

Up to six bowlers can take part in the event, with the $100 entry fee including a pair of nine-pin lanes and shoe rental. There are also limited spaces available for individual bowlers, at $30 per person.

Bowlers are asked to achieve at least $50 in donations for the cause, recorded on the Bowl for the Cure pledge form. The form is due upon registration on the day of the event, and may be downloaded from the Bowl for the Cure website. Print shops are also often used for Copies of Forms like this.

Raffle prizes, several 50/50 draws, and a silent auction will be held during the event. Prize donations are required for this event and can be made by contacting the event organizers.

The 2021 Bowl for the Cure will be held on Sunday April 18th. Due to Covid-19, this year’s event will have two squads, one starting at 11:30 AM and the second bowling at 3:00 PM. It will be held at the Lakeside Recreation Center, located at 900 South Lake Street in Mundelein.
