Barrington staple discusses community virtually

The Barrington White House will host the next installment of a virtual lecture on healing as a nation.

Series hosts Reverend and Doctor Zina Jacque and Jessica Green will guide a talk called Love, Anger, and Apology as part of the Courageous Conversations series. Valarie Kaur will be the guest to discuss radical progressive love. Kaur is a filmmaker, lawyer for civil rights, activist, and Sikh. The discussion will revolve around current affairs and how to repair the rift created in society through positive change and mindful reflection. After the discussion, spectators will divide into groups and discuss the topic.

This event is suitable for adults and teens over 14 years of age. American Sign Language interpreters are available if requested. Tickets are $15. Patrons can also purchase a season pass for the spring calendar for $60. Participants must register early for the Zoom URL and watch the orientation video on the event's web page.

Barrington's White House and Urban Consulate worked together to create the Conversations discussion series. Along with ticket sales, the program is funded by various sponsors such as the Bank of Montreal Wealth Management and the Barrington Area Community Foundation.

The Love, Anger, and Apology discussion will air on February 10 from 7pm to 9pm.

Discussion series attract audiences with logo designs that reflect the overall topic and make it seem interesting.
