The Annual Holiday Festival and Tree Lighting Ceremony in Barrington will contain several family friendly events, several of which will include a visit from Santa.
Running on December 7, the Candy Cane Festival will be at the Foundry Shopping Center from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. Santa will visit from 10:15am and leave at noon. A petting zoo and antler headbands will be available.
The Ice House Mall will host the Winter Wonderland starting at 9:00 am and continuing until 2:00 pm. Santa will arrive at noon, have cookies and milk with guests, and stay until the end of the event. The Rockin' Roslyn Choir will perform its holiday concert. Guests are encouraged to bring food drive donations.
Magical Reindeer Lane will take place at the Shops on Lagerschulte from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm. Norton's USA will feature live reindeer, cookies, and Santa will arrive at 3:30 pm. English Daisy will offer cookies and cider.
Home for the Holidays starts at 11:00 am at Barrington's White House. Families can take photos in the living area in front of the tree. Refreshments and tours of the historic mansion will be available. At noon, Celtic singers will perform. This event will end at 2:00 pm.
The Village Center will host the Downtown Holiday Festival starting at 1:00 pm. Officials will light the tree on South Cook Street at 5:00 pm. Santa will arrive on a fire truck 15 minutes later and will be at the Santa house until 6:30 pm.
Stationery printers can create specialty paper for children to write letters to Santa during the holiday season.
