Barrington area craft fair to pop up this spring

As the Barrington area prepares for another spring, residents are reminded to add one more event to their calendar for the season.

Hoffman Estates will be kicking off a new season by hosting a craft fair, and a wide selection of area makers will be taking part. Admission is free for shoppers, and any area crafters interested in joining the fun can submit an application to get involved.

The fair will be open to the public for four hours, and the registration fee for vendors that would like to get involved is $20 for each booth space reserved. Makers of handcrafted or homemade items, along with home-based businesses, are encouraged to submit an application, and only those that have registered will be permitted to set up shop. The use of a table and chairs is not included in the vendor fee, and the gates will open for set-up at 8:30 on the morning of the fair.

Pop-up crafters’ markets give the public an easy and fun way to support local small businesses. Posters offer a versatile and economical marketing method, and they may be obtained from an area poster printing company.

The Summer Kick Off Craft Fair will be held on May 14, and the doors will be open to shoppers from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm. The Willow Recreation Center will be the venue for the occasion.
