Paramedics association to debut tourney in Nampa

The Canyon County Paramedics Association will be organizing its first golfing competition at the Centennial Golf Course in Nampa.

Teeing off for Teens is an event where people can show their support for mental health awareness and suicide prevention by participating in a golfing tournament. There will be multiple contests, including a KP Competition and Longest Drive Competition. Golfers can enter the tournament individually or with three other group members. The charity benefiting from the contest is 2C Kids Succeed. So far, the event has raised over $4,500 for the organization, though the organizers hope to earn over $5,000.

The Canyon County Paramedics Association is a medical crew that consists of approximately 70 pre-hospital care providers. The organization can respond to 911 calls and perform interfacility transfers for patients. Michael Stowell is the current chief of the association and Casey Walker is the deputy chief. The group has stations in Nampa, Caldwell, Middleton, and Wilder, and primarily serves the citizens of the high desert region of Southwest Idaho.

The inaugural golfing contest will be held on Saturday, August 27. Registration opens at 8:00 am, and the tourney will be held at 9:00 pm. Single golfers can register for $75, while foursomes may enter the tournament for $300. The KP Competition and Longest Drive Competition will cost $200 to join. Organizers for golfing events like this can use banner printing to showcase their sponsors during the tournament.
