Nampa golf event to support those with epilepsy
The Jackson Casey Sudden unexpected death in epilepsy (SUDEP) Awareness Foundation (JCSAF) will hold a fundraiser in Nampa.
The JCSAF Golf Scramble is an event where people can help raise awareness for the risks of epilepsy. Players will participate in teams of four and be assigned a cart for the shotgun competition. The course has 18 holes, and two groups will play at each hole. Business owners who attend the scramble can purchase sponsorships at multiple holes. General sponsorships cost $250 and will include a large sign companies can customize with their logos.
The JCSAF is an organization founded by the Casey family after Jackson Casey passed away from SUDEP when he was 17. The group aims to prevent other families from experiencing the same loss by educating the community about the dangers of epilepsy. Many awareness-raising and fundraising events are held by the foundation, including the Max & Jax Event and A Black Tie Affair: Elegance for Epilepsy Gala.
The golf outing will be held on September 10 and will begin at 8:00 am. The scramble will take place at the Centennial Golf Course and costs $500 per team. People can check in to the fundraiser as early as 6:30 am and use the venue’s range to warm up before the event. Foundations that organize activities like this may use banner printing to raise awareness for their missions and attract more people to their programs.
