Suwanee to organize community dash

The Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce will hold a family-friendly 5K at the Suwanee Town Center in August.

The Gwinnett Chamber Button Down Dash is a low-risk race where people can enjoy a run through local neighborhoods. The 5K will have awards for the first three athletes who can finish the course in their categories. Prizes are also available for the largest corporate team at the event and for the person who wears the tackiest business tracksuit. The run will begin and end in front of the town library and use local streets such as Eva Kennedy Road and Suwanee Dam Road.

Stores can use this 5K to raise their visibility by purchasing a sponsorship package. Table sponsors can pay $350 to reserve a display table at the event’s after-party. The other available packages range from $1,000 to $7,500. Companies may receive benefits like having their symbol added to the race’s T-Shirts, logo recognition on the event’s Signs, and being featured on each racer’s bibs. The presenting sponsor will get to give a minute-long promotional speech at the end of the 5K.

The Button Down Dash will be on Saturday, August 5 and will begin at 7:45 am. The cost to participate in the athletic challenge will be $30 per person. All participants must be at least six years old to enter the race. Organizations that put together runs like this may use banner printing to create marketing materials for their sponsors.
