Suwanee celebrates nations birthday

Suwanee is a community that knows how to throw a great party, and its Fourth of July festivities will put a smile on the face of everyone who comes out.

Thanks to Suwanee Celebrates America 250, community members and visitors will enjoy an afternoon and evening of activities. Town Center Park has been chosen to serve as the venue, and everyone is invited to show their American pride.

The schedule for the festivities include live music performed by Lily Grace, and the headliner for the show will be AudioVault, which will be playing retro party rock. The Liberty Lap will see local kids decorate their wagon, bike, or scooter at the onsite station, and as strollers are welcome, even the youngest residents can sport some red, white, and blue. This parade will roll through the park, and there will be other activities such as trivia, seed spitting competitions, a wiffleball home run derby, and pie-baking and hot dog-eating contests.

The sponsorship program for the day will be open until June 7, presenting opportunities for the local business community to get involved. Companies can order promotional Pens and other swag for an event from area Print shops.

Suwanee will be celebrating America’s 250th birthday on Saturday, July 4. A link to apply to serve as a sponsor is available on the city’s website.
