Suwanee will be organizing a 5K fundraiser to support the families of local police officers in March.
The Care for Cops 5K Run/Walk is an activity where community members can support families who have lost their loved ones in the line of duty. The length of the race is just over three miles, and the course will start and finish at the Suwanee Town Center. Racers will have an opportunity to get their pictures taken by True Speed Photography. Medals will be given to the men and women who finish within the top three times in their age groups.
Companies interested in supporting Care for Cops may become a sponsor for the 5K. The cost to sponsor the race will range between $250 to $2,500. Each of the sponsorship tiers will include benefits like featuring the sponsor’s Logo Design on the event’s Apparel and being promoted on the race’s social media pages. Organizations that pay $2,500 to become the presenting sponsor will be recognized at the start of the race.
The 5K will be on Saturday, March 25 from 8:00 am to 10:00 am. The race costs $25 to join, though prices for the event will go up after February 13. Participants may pick up their packets on March 24 at Big Peach. People will be allowed to register for the race on the same date as the event.
