There will be a two-part Watercolor Techniques Workshop taking place in Suwanee this July.
This workshop aims to introduce participants to the special properties and essential watercolor painting methods, helping them create impressive pieces.
In the first session, attendees will focus on the fundamental aspects of watercolor. This includes an introduction to basic supplies such as various types of paints, brushes, and paper. Participants will learn foundational strategies like wet-on-dry, wet-on-wet, and dry brush practices. The session will also cover color mixing, exploring color theory theory, and practicing mixing to achieve specific gradients and hues. Brush management will be emphasized, with instruction on mastering different brush patterns and understanding their impact on paintings. To apply these techniques, guided exercises will allow participants to create simple designs.
The second session will delve into advanced composition and techniques. Participants will apply their skills to more complex projects, incorporating all previously learned techniques. They will receive personalized guidance and feedback to refine their work, enhancing their understanding and proficiency.
