The annual Butterfly Festival held in Roswell is seeking volunteers for its 2022 staging.
The event is organized by the Chattahoochee Nature Center. It celebrates the life of butterflies and will have several fun and educational activities. The festival gives patrons the chance to explore natural exhibits such as the walk-through Butterfly Garden, and to meet with educators and pollinator experts. It also serves as the opening of the Butterfly Encounter, where guests can get up-close and personal with the insects. The festival seeks volunteers to help in posts such as photographers, costumed characters, and helpers for vendors and partners.
This opportunity is open to those 16 and up. It is perfect for large groups or individuals who are looking forward to spending time with nature and helping others to do the same. Volunteering can help to develop skills in gardening, organization, environmental education, and more. Each volunteer will have the chance to attend Butterfly School and learn about everything having to do with the protection and care of butterflies.
The event has four shifts. Volunteers should expect to arrive early and remain until relieved. Further information on the requirements is available on the Volunteer Match website.
Print shops can be a great way to advertise at events such as these.
The festival will be held on June 4 and 5 at the CNC, which is located at 9135 Willeo Road, Roswell, Georgia. It begins at 9:00 am and ends at 4:00 pm.
