An organization that helps Roswell kids in need is organizing its holiday support programs, and it has issued a call to the community seeking support.
The Children’s Restoration Network is accepting registrations for its Adopt-a-Shelter program, and those who participate will have the satisfaction of knowing they have helped someone less fortunate. It's focused on group homes and shelters, and all help is welcome.
The organizers of the activity will be happy to provide support to the fundraisers if needed, and workplace colleagues, friends, families or other groups are all encouraged to sign on. Each can determine how many children they can “adopt”, and it has been requested that the amount spent on each child be between $100 and $125. Amazon wish lists will be supplied to shop from, and the gifts will be sent directly to the group home or shelter in time for the recipients to open them on Christmas morning.
Grassroots level initiatives can often make a big impact, and they offer an easy way for community members to get involved. Not for profit groups can access a variety of budget friendly printing services from area Print shops.
The Children's Restoration Network has prepared an online interest form for anyone who would like to show some love to kids in need this holiday season. All help will be welcome, and the contact phone number for the planners is 770-649-7117.
