Roswell runs 35th annual tree chip

After Christmas, Roswell residents are reminded to “Bring One for the Chipper” by taking their holiday tree to a local drop-off point for recycling.

Keep Roswell Beautiful has set the date for its tree chip. Now in its 35th year, this annual activity tends to be well attended.

The trees can be dropped off for recycling, and they will be transformed into mulch for local gardens. To thank the public for doing their part, everyone will go home with a free tree seedling, for as long as their supplies last. Only live trees will be accepted and people are asked to remove any bases, decorations, and tinsel. The collection stations will be set up at 870 Woodstock Road and 1580 Holcomb Bridge Road, both of which are Home Depot locations.

The organizers of the day have offered a tip of the hat to its sponsors by including their names in its web listing. Planners may order special Corporate Gifts and certificates of thanks from local printers to present to the companies and volunteers that make a function like this possible.

The 2026 “Bring One for the Chipper” tree shredding day will take place on Saturday, January 4 between 9:00 am and 12:00 noon. Residents are asked not to drop off trees outside of these hours. The service is free, but donations to Keep Roswell Beautiful will be appreciated.
