Roswell's gardeners know how to take full advantage of the fall weather, and an upcoming event that will help them to bring someone interest to their own beds.
Mother Nature will be getting a helping hand from the Chattahoochee Nature Center’s Native Plant Sale. It will provide an opportunity to both purchase plants and gain some knowledge of their care and culture, and the whole family is invited to stop by.
The shoppers can browse through the species and cultivars that will be on offer, and they can find out which ones will be best suited to their particular property and any microclimates it might have. There will be staff and volunteers on site, happy to provide guidance when it comes to their selections. The plants will have local provenance, and admission and parking will be free. Volunteers will also aid in loading vehicles, and the prices for the plants will range from $5.00 to $35.00.
A pop-up style horticultural market can be a fun choice for a nature-based fundraiser, and they often take place rain or shine. Waterproof signage, custom tenting and canopies, branded clothing for volunteers and other bespoke materials for a not for profit group can be ordered from area banner printing companies.
Area gardeners who have been hoping for one last hurrah this season are welcome to drop by the Center for its sale, which will kick off bright and early on September 25th. It is located at 9135 Willeo Road in Roswell.
