Whether they have been gardening for a long time or are new to getting their hands dirty, many home horticulturists appreciate the chance to learn, and a Roswell workshop will provide a way to do so.
A volunteer Master Gardener from University of Georgia Extension will be sharing their knowledge of pollinators during an activity at the East Roswell branch of the local public library. It is being offered as part of the larger Georgia Green Landscape Stewards Program, and is for adults only.
The workshop will introduce a variety of pollinators, ranging from well-known ones such as bees and butterflies to others that may be a surprise. They will explore various ways to invite them into a garden and how to keep them happy once they get there. As well as gaining tips from the hosts, participants will also have the chance to meet their fellow green thumbs and share their own advice.
During a learning session or other activity where a lot of information will be shared in a small amount of time, participants may appreciate receiving hard Copies of handouts and other materials. These can be prepared by a local flyer printing company.
This introduction to pollinators may be helpful to the home gardener, whether they are interested in sustainability or just enjoy being in nature. It will be offered on Saturday, June 8.
