Folks in Roswell are once again being urged to 'Bring One for the Chipper', as the 24th running of the event takes place at Home Depot locations in the city.
Presented by Keep Roswell Beautiful, poster printing will likely be signposting the 2014/15 event taking place this weekend. Both Home Depot locations in Roswell will be accepting the trees for recycling on the day.
However, anyone dropping off their tree is asked to take all of the decorations off, including tinsel and hanging treats. All donated trees will be chipped into mulch, with the mulch then being available to the public, delivered by Davey Tree.
Residents can take their fully undecorated trees along to the Roswell Home Depot locations at 1580 Holcomb Bridge Road and 870 Woodstock Road. Anyone donating will also be given a special gift in thanks, although these are strictly limited in number.
The annual event, which this year is being presented in partnership between the Keep Roswell Beautiful campaign, The Home Depot, The Davey Tree Expert Company, and the Keep Georgia Beautiful Foundation, always proves popular in the city.
Last year, Roswell was first among all Georgia cities for the number of Christmas trees recycled per capita. Trees can be dropped off at any time from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm this Saturday, January 3.
