Roswell puts on tribute concert

A concert in tribute to the Allman Brothers is to be held in Roswell this September.

The event’s headliners will be a local group known as TRIBUTE. There will also be a surprise appearance from Harvest Moon, a band that was also formed to pay tribute to musical icons from the 70s to the 90s.

The Allman Brothers Band originally formed in 1969 in Jacksonville, Florida. Though the band originally began with only brothers Gregg and Duane Allman, it later expanded to include guitarists Dickey Betts and Berry Oakley. The band additionally had Butch Trucks and Jai Johanny Johanson playing the drums. The band incorporated sounds of classic blues, jazz and country music. The Tribute looks to recreate their unique yet inspirational sounds in the most seamless way possible, and give audiences an experience that is reminiscent of being in the presence of an Allman Brothers concert.

Tribute takes from the catalogue of the band and infuses modern and classic instruments. Patrons can look forward to an interactive musical concert from these two groups.
