What's Happening in Roswell, GA…

For the fifth year in a row, Roswell residents will have the opportunity of learning ways to be kind to the environment when the annual Green Expo returns to the city.

The expo is hosted by the city and by Keep Roswell Beautiful, and offers tips on ways residents can be more environmentally responsible. They can also learn how to practice sustainability, and how to incorporate green products into their everyday lives.

Among the participants are the Green Market, which features many regional and local vendors, nonprofits, artisans, and a number of products and services that are friendly to the environment.

If they wish, visitors can build their own rain barrels, courtesy of the Rain Barrel Depot, the Chattahoochee Riverkeeper, and Vicki Culbreth, who is Roswell's Environmental Education Coordinator. There is a cost of $10 for each barrel, and a limit of one barrel to each household.

The expo is larger than ever, and has moved to a new venue. It will be held in the Roswell Area Park, at the Bill Johnson Community Activity Building on Woodstock Road. The event is open to everyone and admission is free. It runs from 11:00 am until 3:00 pm on Saturday, February 6.

Even organizers might like to work with a brochure printing company on a handout for the expo. The brochure could explain the benefits of going green, as well as listing vendors and exhibitors, and where to find them.
