Heart of Roswell Park provides opportunities for rest and relaxation year round, and this December, it will welcome a special community event.
All those who call Roswell home are encouraged to include the annual lighting of the park's Christmas tree in their holiday plans. Everyone can take part free of charge, and it will run for two hours.
Individuals and families alike may enjoy being part of the festivities, and the crowd can take in a live choral performance. Hot chocolate will be served to help keep everyone warm, and there will be firepits and freshly made s'mores.
Mayor Kurt Wilson will read “The Night Before Christmas”, and the lights on the venue’s 40 foot tree will be turned on for the holiday season.
While parents and other adults can enjoy mixing and mingling, children will be waiting for the arrival of a very special guest. Santa will be coming down from his workshop up at the North Pole to meet with the young and the young at heart. Community events often count on the sponsorship from local businesses, and Stationery printers will be pleased to prepare personalized cards to send out to thank these companies for their support.
