Roswell library invites kids to get stitching

The Roswell branch of the Fulton County Library System will be teaching kids a life skill that may be quite valuable.

The facility will be offering kids the opportunity to pick up some basic sewing skills, and parents have been asked to attend along with their child. It will be led by Miss Jessica, and it is for those from the ages of 8 to 12.

The registrants will be learning how to thread a needle, and once everyone has their feet wet, it will be time to move on to mending a small tear. They will also find out how to sew on a button, and full instruction and supplies will be provided. The kids can take their fabric and other materials home with them so they will be able to get in some more practice. Support for the activity has been provided by the Friends of the Roswell Library, and registration will open on September 3rd.

Taking part in a workshop can make it fun to learn a new life skill. Copies of handouts and any other learning materials the organizers feel they need can be prepared by a local brochure printing company.
