Roswell gardeners set to swap

A seed swap is a horticultural event that offers a variety of benefits, and an activity on the way to Roswell will see a new crop of gardeners get swapping.

The ed Swap is scheduled for Roswell Library, and all ages may take part. While those who plan on attending are encouraged to bring along any extra seeds to share, it has been requested that only heirloom varieties be included.

Both harvested and leftover seeds from this year’s plantings will be welcome at the event, and while they choose some seeds, participants will be offered the chance to learn more about why this practice can be important. They will find out how it helps preserve heritage varieties, promotes biodiversity, and offers the opportunity to acquire rare plants, while also being a fun and sociable way for gardeners to save some money. A facilitator will be on hand to offer advice and other support.
