What's Happening in Roswell, GA…

The Chattahoochee Nature Center (CNC) in Roswell will start its Kids Naturalist Club up again in April. Children ages five to eight are welcome to join.

The club starts afterschool and provides students an opportunity to learn about the natural world. For this session, the theme is “Bugs and Blooms,” which focuses on insects and flowers. A naturalist from the CNC will be heading the class, and they will guide students through hikes, animal encounters, and other science-related activities.

As a result of the COVID-19 situation, class space is limited, with only a 1:8 ratio between instructors and students. CNC will provide three separate sessions for students to sign up for. Parents can choose between Monday, Wednesday, or Friday sessions, which last through April and early May. For specific details on the schedule, parents can check the event’s webpage.

The center will continue to hold nature-related events throughout the year. These activities are usually promoted with the help of flyer printing and give children more outdoor activities to participate in.

The club begins activities on the third week of April and will finish by the first week of May. Students will go through a total of four sessions, each happening between 3:00 PM and 5:00 PM. Registration is $120 for the general public and $100 for members. Entrants can find the nature center at 9135 Willeo Road.
