With local Print companies helping companies too, it is hoped that the American Cancer Society (ACS) event will raise record funds for battling the disease in Atlanta and across the U.S.
There has been plenty of poster and banner printing over the weeks, particularly at local Kroger stores. From right now and through Saturday, February 16, Kroger customers will be urged to buy a Relay for Life 'footprint' icon.
Costing just $1 for each footprint, it is helped that the ACS will earn a sizable pot. Customers can also donate more than a dollar if they can, of course.
Talking about the deal between ACS and Kroger, the retail company's Atlanta division communications director, Glynn Jenkins, said:
“In the U.S., and across every community we serve, so many lives are affected by cancer.
“We are honored to fight alongside the American Cancer Society as they help nearly 14 million cancer survivors and countless others continue to avoid the disease.”
Even more cash will be raised at the Relay for Life run itself. The Roswell event has already seen over 20 teams and nearly 100 individual participants enter. Starting at 6:00 pm on May 3 at Roswell High School Stadium, the event sees runners complete laps through the night.
With cancer survivors taking the first lap and a commemoration to those killed by cancer as twlight approaches, it should be both a fun and emotional event.Get a Free Quote for Print
