Job boost for Roswell as property group moves in

Brixmor Property Group, which operates open-air, high-quality shopping centers, has moved its regional office to Roswell, and brought 50 jobs with it.

Brixmor owns Holcomb Bridge Crossing, a retail center near Holcomb Bridge Road and Old Alabama Road. The anchor PGA TOUR Superstore is located in this center, and Brixmor “rightsized” the property, leaving 51,000 square feet for the store. It converted the rest, some 12,000 square feet, into offices. “Rightsizing” a property means reducing it to its optimum size.

Steve Stroud, the executive director of Roswell, Inc., said Brixmor’s efforts were a great solution to the problem of how to successfully repurpose big box stores. Stroud said he was happy with Brixmor’s work at the store, and he and others are glad to have Brixmor relocate to Roswell to become a corporate citizen officially.

For its part, Barry Rodenstein, property group regional president for Brixmor, said moving to Roswell gave the company a location that is easily accessible and at the same time, gives employees access to amenities that will encourage them to participate in the community.

Brixmor, which moved to its new Roswell office in January, owns and operates 500 retail centers throughout the United States, 25 of which are in the Atlanta metro area.
