Holiday show returns to Roswell

The Vinings Gallery in Roswell will host its annual holiday show this December.

This year’s featured artist will be Thomas Arvid, who has gained countrywide acclaim for his unique wine painting pieces. Each of his works makes use of oil on canvas to create realistic depictions of wine and other alcoholic beverages. His major collection focuses on the use of still life models as muses, while others use graphic depictions as the background for his pieces. His career as a painter officially started over 20 years ago. Over that time, he has gained a loyal following, and is now considered an expert in the art world when it comes to modern day still-life paintings.

For the Vinings Gallery, Arvid has made yearly appearances where fans and collectors may host a meet and greet with the painter. This tradition now celebrates its 90th year. The artist will also be on hand painting during the event, as he socializes.

Free to attend, the event will take place in three sessions at the Vinings Gallery. Twice on December 3 from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm, and again from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm. The final show takes place on December 4 between 1:00 pm and 4:00 pm. The gallery is located at 938 Canton Street, Roswell.
