Fun family event comes to Roswell

People looking for holiday fun should get ready to check out upcoming performances in Roswell.

An ongoing series of shows, the Roswell Winter Puppet Series, is presenting two different plays in the coming weeks: “Santa's Missing Mail,” and “Trouble in Toyland.”

“Santa's Missing Mail,” as the title implies, is about two villains who try to stop Christmas by stealing all the letters addressed to Santa. In order to stop them, Santa has to team up with a superhero who lacks common sense.

“Trouble in Toyland” is just that. One Christmas Eve, and everything is going wrong. The elves have walked out without finishing the toys, Rudolph's nose is running, and Santa's laugh has gone from a bellow to a squeak. Will this mean no Christmas this year?

The shows are from All Hands Productions and are performed by Lee Bryan, “That Puppet Guy,” who is known locally for his inventive puppet shows. Poster printing is frequently used to advertise events like this.

“Santa's Missing Mail” will be performed at 10:00 am on December 16, 17, 18, and 19, and “Trouble in Toyland” will follow, with two shows at 10:00 am and 1.30 pm on December 21 and 22. The venue is the Roswell Cultural Arts Center, a temperature check will be required before entry, and masks will need to be worn at all times.
