Buddy the Elf will be making a visit to Roswell next week, in the show named after him.

The Mt. Bethel Christian Academy is putting Buddy front and center in their performance of “Elf the Musical,” a stage version of the hit film “Elf” from 2003. The plot follows that of the movie, and is a comedy about Buddy, a human who has been raised by elves, and believes himself to be an elf. When he discovers he is human after all, he sets out to find his real father. Buddy works hard to teach everyone the true meaning of Christmas, not least his grumpy dad.

Reviews of a production at the Paramount Theater in Aurora, Illinois, said the stage version of the show works as well or better than the film. Critics also called it “top-notch,” “joyful,” and a “Yuletide treat for the whole family.” Over and over again, the reviewers emphasis how much fun everyone had, and that the show is suitable for people of all ages. Audience members echoed the professional critics, saying how much they and their families loved the production.

The curtain rises on “Elf the Musical” twice, on Wednesday, December 4 at 6:30 pm, and again Thursday, December 5, also at 6:30 pm. Tickets are $12.00. Poster printing can be used to create festive advertising for events like this.
