The Southern Crescent Technical College will be holding an official ribbon cutting tomorrow for the first of eight buildings on the drawing board for the McDonough campus.
The building in question, The Henry County Center, cost around $8m and is approximately 35,000 square feet in area.
Randall Peters, the college’s president, said those who attend the ribbon cutting will have the opportunity to check out the campus, including the fully equipped classrooms. Attendees will also be able to meet faculty and staff and learn more about the programs the school will be offering.
According to Peters, the college aims to offer programs that will provide students with the skills for which local employers are looking. Currently, the school offers several associate degrees geared at specific occupations. Additionally, it provides general courses, such as English, math and science, which can be transferred to most universities in Georgia. Logistic management courses will soon be offered to meet local demand for employees with those skills.
The grounds of the new technical college, which is located at 300 Lakemont Drive in McDonough, were donated by the Henry County School Board and it makes Southern Crescent Technical College’s fifth campus. Catalog printing services will no doubt be required for the new school, in addition to the need to supply Letterheads, Business Cards, and other Stationery items marked with the school’s new address.Get a Free Quote for Business Cards Get a Free Quote for Stationery Get a Free Quote for Letterheads
