One of the biggest Hispanic-owned food distributors in the country has opened a state-of-the-art regional distribution facility in McDonough after evaluating sites in the Southeast since June.
The new distribution center, which covers 150,000 square feet, is located at 4005 Haworth Parkway and contains room for enlargement up to an additional 50,000 square feet. Housed in the former Haworth Building, Goya has spent around $2.5m on renovations and between $5m and $10m on the whole project.
As is always the case with any new facility, there will no doubt be extra work for a printing company. The new facility will probably need Stationery items such as digital Business Cards and invoices imprinted with the new facility’s address and phone number.
Goya Foods, a distributor of Latin flavors throughout the United States and the rest of the world, was founded in 1936. The company employs around 4,000 workers in 16 facilities in the U.S., the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, and Spain. Bob Unanue, president of Goya Foods Inc., said in a news release that a growing Hispanic demographic and increased focus on nutrition made it a suitable time for expansion.
The McDonough distribution center will serve all of Georgia, as well as parts of South Carolina, Tennessee, and Alabama. It will allow the company to increase its consumer base and thereby provide a greater variety of products.Get a Free Quote for Business Cards Get a Free Quote for Stationery
