Keith Nichols, Chief of police for Henry County, has recently completed his annual continuing education and training requirements, suggesting that McDonough residents can rest easy in the knowledge that the Henry County Police Department, based in their city, is keeping up to date on the latest law enforcement education and training.
The 2015 Annual Winter Training Conference, which the Georgia Association of Chiefs of Police sponsored, was held the last week of January in Augusta. The three-day conference was attended by Chief Nichols, as well as numerous other law enforcement agency heads from around the state.
A wide range of responsibilities fall on the shoulders of Georgia’s police chiefs. In addition to protecting the public, upholding the law, and keeping up with their training, some police chiefs also have to play the role of chief executive with an office, no doubt requiring the services of a Print company.
Over 280 peace officers from various law enforcement agencies received instructions on such topics as ‘Update on Georgia Peace Officer Standards and Training’, ‘Anti-Government Extremism and White Supremacy’, and ‘2014-2015 Legislative and the Case Law Leader in You’. Also included was a discussion panel titled ‘Taking a Candid Look at Law Enforcement Today’.
According to the president of the Georgia Association of Chiefs of Police, Monroe Police Department Chief Keith Glass, the 2015 Winter Training Conference was a success. Get a Free Quote for Print
