The Jailhouse Brewing Company has outgrown its original location and is looking to expand its operation with a move to McDonough.
The brewing company, which took its name from its original location in downtown Hampton’s old jailhouse, needs more room and is ready to break out of its present location. Unable to find suitable facilities for its expanding business in Hampton, the six-year-old company has decide to move its base of operations to McDonough.
Glenn Golden, owner of the brewery, said that although he wanted to expand in Hampton from his company’s perspective an affordable deal could not be struck. After looking at a number of nearby cities, in March the company bought property at Harkins Street and Ga. 42 in McDonough. If all goes according to plan the new facilities address, which will provide over 10 times the space, will be used by Stationery printers for all of the brewery’s literature including its custom Business Cards.
According to Mary Ann Mitcham, mayor pro tem of Hampton, the town has worked with the brewery for two years trying to accommodate their needs for a larger facility that met their budget requirements. Losing Jailhouse Brewing will be quite a blow to Hampton’s economy because it draws people to the town. Now the company will have the opportunity to do the same for McDonough.Get a Free Quote for Business Cards Get a Free Quote for Stationery
