Marietta Square to host September festival

Everyone here in Marietta is marking Calendars for Marietta Streetfest coming in mid-September.

More than 75 artists will be found in Artist Alley selling handmade items like jewelry, pottery, paintings, soaps, and clothing. Jams, jellies, sauces and other types of market items will also be available. Antique dealers will bring collectibles, linens, furniture, glass, and other valuable or memorable items. The History Museum tent will be filled with both used and new affordable Books.

Restaurants around the square will offer breakfast, lunch and dinner options for purchase. Artisans at events such as this usually arrive supplied with Business Cards for anyone wanting to get in touch with them after the event.

Tiny Tot Town will offer fun activities for the younger set and the big kids will have their own area with art stations, bounces, and inflatable slides.

The Grass Roots Festival returns Saturday from 3:00 pm until 9:00 pm, and again on Sunday from 1:00 pm until 5:00 pm.

Weather permitting, the 16th annual Hubcaps and History Classic Car Show will take place Saturday on Atlanta and Roswell streets on South Park Square between 10:00 am and 3:00 pm.

The Marietta Museum of History 1 Depot Street will be open 10:00 am until 4:00 pm on Saturday, and noon until 4:00 pm on Sunday. Admission will be free.

Marietta Streetfest will be September 18 and 19 on Marietta Square.
